What is LaceUp

What LaceUp does, who it is for, and what it does not do yet.

What is LaceUp?

LaceUp runs leagues and tournaments. Your organization gets its own website with schedules, standings, registration and player accounts, and an admin where your staff set everything up.

  • Seasons that hold the leagues you run each week, with one shared schedule and standings.
  • Tournaments with divisions, pool play, single and double elimination brackets, live scoring and printouts.
  • Tournament day tools: a court board for a TV at the venue, team check-in, awards, a venue map and a spin wheel.
  • Player accounts, a directory of everyone who has played, memberships, account credit and retention reports.
  • Liability releases that players agree to before they play, with every version kept.
  • Lacey, an assistant that sets up a tournament from a plain description.

What doesn't LaceUp do yet?

Some things are built and switched off, and some are not built. Check here before you plan around one of them.

  • Card payments. Checkout is built and switched off. A registration with a price is saved as Pending payment, and the player is told you will contact them to complete payment.
  • Discount codes. There are none. Member prices, early-bird bands and account credit are the ways to change what someone pays.
  • Native apps. LaceUp runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.
  • Email from your own domain. Emails come from LaceUp's address with your organization's name as the sender.
  • Editing membership plan prices from the admin.
  • Sports other than dodgeball.

How do I ask for a feature or report a problem?

Ask for a feature with Request a feature in your account. It goes onto the board behind the public roadmap. If something is broken or you need a hand, use Get help instead, which goes straight to the LaceUp team.

  1. Sign in and open your account.
  2. For something new, open Request a feature, pick Feature request or Idea, and send it.
  3. For a problem, open Get help, say what you did, what you expected and what happened, and send it.
  • If a form cannot send, email contact@laceuphq.com.
